Shipping cost at FYP
You never have double shipping costs with For Your Pleasure. To get supply items to yourself or to order for yourself, the shipping rate is a flat 8.95 fee. For parties, the guests pay a flat rate of 5.95 for the items to go to the hostess where she will distribute them and 8.95 if they want the items to go to their house.
*Commissions*
All companies start out with a different commission rate. Make sure to get the most out of the company you join. Starting at only 25% could really affect your income. FYP starts you out at 40% commission no matter what size kit you start with. A lot of companies charge you based on whether you spend more money and buy their biggest kit. The only time you start with less with FYP is when you use our Kit Buying assistance program called OFB (open for business) and then you start at 35% and after you qualify you go up to 40%. You can also move up to 50% with recruiting and/or sales clubs.
*Stock required?*
Stock is a huge consideration. If you have children at home or limited funds for starting up your business, carrying stock may not be for you. FYP carries over 1300 items. It would take quite a large start up to stock up on all of our items. Instead the company does it for you!
*Hostess incentives paid by you or by the company?*
This is another huge consideration. If you are paying for your hostess incentives, the going rate is 10% of the party in product. Consider this, your party does $1000, the hostess gets $100, of which you pay 60% for those items. So you have to pay $60 for that party. FYP pays this incentive and for NO fee. Other companies such as Brown Bag Party will take care of their consultants hostess incentives, but charge the consultant $8 per party to do so. Other companies don't cover it at all. FYP also gives a generous hostess plan to our hostesses, making it all the more enticing to do an FYP party with you!
*Shopping carts?*
Shopping Cart consultant websites. How much do they cost and what are the incentives behind them? Can you pay monthly or quarterly or yearly? FYP's shopping carts have full drop ship available. If they order off your site, you don't have to do a thing but collect the 40% commission, FYP will ship the order to the customer for you. They also only charge us consultants $14.95 per month. Payable monthly or quarterly.
*How long has the company been in business?*
this is important to see established patterns and to know if the plan will be around for awhile. FYP has been around since 1995, having started out as mail order.
*Is the company a member of the BBB (better business bureau)*
This IS important. If you have a company that backs up their quality, they will be more likely backing up their consultants. Do a check on their different websites and see how many complaints they have and whether they have taken care of them. FYP is the ONLY party plan company that is a member of the BBB and in great standing that takes 12 years to be a part of.
